Hi all --

Lately we've been choosing a handful of early-bird selections for the conferences. We do this shortly before the submission deadline to encourage people to send in their submissions early.

Before I promote this to the community, I want to be sure the PC is planning on reviewing submissions and choosing the early-bird winners between August 3 and August 10.

The deadline for early-bird submissions will be August 3, and the choices are announced on August 10 (one week before the regular submission deadline).
