Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] EclipseCon PC Top 5 Picks Vote!

On a side note, you have until the end of business day today to vote.

I plan on announcing the winner tomorrow based on input from the voting.

Thanks guys!

We had too many panels last year (it was a wonderful experiment, IMO), but I’d like us to focus them down to just a couple this year if we can.

What's the story on panels?  I don't see "panel" as a submission type in the system and I seem to remember submitting one last year (declined :-( ).  Looking at the VMWare submission #2082  "Donating a mature project to Eclipse" it occurred to me that it would be interesting to hear about the experiences of more than one project that's moved to Eclipse so perhaps this is better as a panel with moderator?

Hey EclipseCon PC members, it's time to pick the top 5 talks!

The OSGi PC members have already chosen their talk (which is excellent
in my opinion)...
* "Flying High" with OSGi and Open Source

So we have to choose FOUR more. I've come up with a list of 12 talks
that we should choose from using my best judgement of what I think a
good talk would be keeping in mind the audience. I also tried to
balance our options based on what was submitted so far. I also had a
few glasses of chateau du pape in me...

I've setup a doodle poll here... please use up to six votes.

(Note, if you're on the PC and I've chosen your talk in this initial
list, you should vote for yourself otherwise what type of confidence
do you have in yourself?)

If you think I missed a talk that should have been included and want
to plead your case, let me know. Otherwise, we have to make a decision
soon and I think these are a fine selection of what we can offer at
EclipseCon.
