Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Fwd: Improvements for audience regarding slides/projectors
|
The issue this year, was in some rooms there were outcroppings that
blocked views, plus in some rooms the screens went too low, so it was
hard to see over the top of peoples heads (yeah, no short people jokes
or you have to answer to Oisin. :) ).

I'd agree with this one. The projectors certainly got a major upgrade
this eclipsecon with some of the ones I saw supporting upwards of
1024x768.
I'd vote for bigger screens next eclipsecon instead of two projectors
since you'd still be mirroring the screens across projectors ;)
Cheers!

Some email feedback for the record...

Hi Oisin and Donald
eclipsecon is really great and I enjoy this VERY much
(a bit nervous before my presentation but thats not bad :-)
just a small suggestion for next eclipsecon: one projector and a
relatively small wall is too few for a larger room.
I would suggest:
- having two projector walls and two projectors at each side of the
room (left/right)
- having two televisions in the middle of the room on each side for
the people in the back.
We had this setup at the ACCU conference and it is really usefull.
I know it is more work, but e.g. you can have large font in the
presentation but
running eclipse demos is problematic because i need a certain
resolution for showing all parts.
