Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] EclipseCon 2010 Part 2 - Conference Structure

In regards to the "Unconference" idea, we might want to consider an OpenSpaceTechnology area as well:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Open_Space_Technology

People tend to get together anyways between and during the conference sessions, this would just give it a bit more structure. I'm still thinking on the other ideas, but the one thing I always wanted was more hands on instruction. Many of the tutorials in the past haven't been hands on, where people actually have labs and exercises to complete. Too many talking heads, not enough instruction and doing. We tried to address this in the XSLT tutorial last year, where we used the XSL Tools components to complete the labs provided by the tutorial on the XSLT language. Seemed to work well, people got introduced to a new language, and also learned about the capabilities of the XSL Tools components at the same time.
