RE: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Policy on "Corporate / Product" Talks

This will probably be rejected because

a)      There isn’t really any tutorial slots for Biz and industry, and I don’t think I’d go to bat for one that looks more technical than biz.

b)      It’s too commercial.

I think Commercial would be OK if it was a means to an end – like for a couple years there was a proposal about how the Rational Certification program worked.  Although commercially oriented, the proposal always was written in a neutral way along the lines of general benefits and interesting points to Eclipse for certification.  Unfortunately, I never had the space to accept.

Howdy fellow EclipseCon PC members. Do we have a policy of how we are going to handle talks that are product-specific? For example, I see talks like this:

https://www.eclipsecon.org/submissions/2009/view_talk.php?id=293&

There's this line that's hard to define here and I'm wondering how other people are handling it.
