At the risk of stating the obvious, this analysis does not apply
to “Director’s Choice”. By definition, that category is for
me to pick talks from other categories which did not make it.

All,
We have a short conference call for the EclipseCon PC tomorrow at 11am
CT. I want to see how the recruiting for Main Stage talks is
coming. Also, want to make sure everyone is comfortable with the submission
system. Finally need to discuss the talk types (30 minute talk).
Thanks for all of the blog posts about EclipseCon. As of today, we have
two weeks left until the system closes. I am looking for a volunteer
(someone that has not all ready posted) to announce that there are two weeks
left.
Heard the one about politicians, statisticians, and liars? Yeah me
too. But I am still a 'reporting guy' so I feel the need to give you a
bit more information about the submissions to date. It is too early to
draw any conclusions, but I do think one measure of interest in a category is
the number of submissions to the category.
