I'd agree with that. We want to get the most value out of the resources we have available to us at EclipseCon. What that value is is different to different people. I would think it's hard to come up with a singular vision to what EclipseCon should be. But it is something we need to strive for to help us decide what a great program would look like.

I'd like to re-state Doug's comment a little: I think EclipseCon should be about attracting the best set of attendees to have the best face-to-face conversations. Poking around the fringes is good, but so are solid talks about internals and fascinating talks about releasing products on top of Eclipse and so on and so forth.
