RE: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Ideas for submissionsystem for 2009

Title: New Page 1

Looks good Bjorn.  I really like the “statistics on everything”.  I did a lot of that using an Excel spreadsheet.  Perhaps you could copy some of that into the reports.  I added a comment about needing to track stats on used vs. allocated. Perhaps you could use my spreadsheet as input.

For the PC chair, it’s hard to imagine a submission system that’s good enough to replace Excel.  I found myself much more comfortable working in Excel.  Still, it’s worth a try.

Program committee people,
While the experience of doing all the paper reviewing is still fresh in your mind, could you take a minute and make some notes on good/bad features for next year's submission system? I added a section to the wiki page and added a few of my thoughts, but I'd love to gather yours as well. http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseCon_Submission_System_Requirements#EclipseCon_2009_Thoughts_and_Ideas

Thanks!
- Bjorn
