Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Request for advice

Yikes, you do have some tough selections.

Here are my biased picks:

Tutorials:
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/94
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/103 and https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/102 (combined into 1)
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/397

Long Talks:
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/183
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/425 and https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/421 (combined into 1)
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/225
https://eclipsecon.greenmeetingsystems.com/submissions/view/21 (make it into a long talk instead of a tutorial)

Cheers,

[eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Request for advice

Hi Folks,

As you might imagine, the Tools category received a large number of
proposals (way oversubscribed for both tutorials and long talks...and
pretty close on short talks).

Even with a waitlist category (of limited size I imagine), there will be
quite a few...what look to me to be pretty good/interesting
presentations...that will have to be rejected.  Further, I will be
requesting that a number of long talks be rather done as short talks.

Are there any further ideas that people have for dealing with the
oversubscriptions...particularly in long talks?  There are some that
could be reasonably categorized in 'other', and/or perhaps 'web tools',
'soa tools' categories.  Are these all oversubscribed in long talks
too?  Or is there perhaps some room there?

Thanks for thoughts.

Scott
