Re: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] Keynotes

makes sense.  Being the total newbie at this I am, it is unclear how to even get to etiher the person or the agent.  No information on the website of either langlang or coupland.  Is there some international registry of agents or something?

Jeff,
We've found that while Meeting Strategies Worldwide can contact the speakers for us, we get a better response if a real person contacts them first. But if you end up just talking to their agent, then best to have MSW talk to the agent.  Summary:
   us -> person = good
   MSW -> agent = good
   us -> agent = waste of our time
   MSW -> person = doesn't have that personal touch that might get us a discount

I would be happy to try and make contact but I wonder if the EclipseCon production company (whoever that is) would be in a better position to contact agents and discuss these things.  I could talk to them about their provisioning or execution requirements but don't have much of a clue as to how to approach people like this to arrange appearances.

Having said that, I will poke and see but if the production company can be of assistance that would be great.

Jeff
