Charter

  • Brainstorm conference improvements.
  • Actively recruit topics and speakers early, rather than waiting for submissions to come in.
  • Review submissions on a weekly basis to ensure that misfiled talks are routed to the right track lead early.
  • Actively participate in the Program Committee email list.
  • Attend monthly program committee calls.
  • Assist in scheduling talks by specifying an ordering to the talks in your track.
  • Meet the program deadlines that the Program Committee collectively lays out.

[edit]

EclipseCon Format

  • Tues-Thurs Keynotes
    • One per day in the morning like last conference
    • Humorist, Open Source, Misc Technology
    • (Discuss the suggestions so far)
  • Monday Tutorials
    • All slots are 2 hours each. Four slots for the day.
    • Multi-part talks are allowed (Part I, Part II, Part III)
  • Talks (to discuss)
    • Short (10 mins)
    • Long (60 mins) - no more than 100
      • Demos and Panels are just talks - track leads get to choose how they want to recruit. A talk that is entirely a demo should be indicated as such in the submission.
    • Bjorn suggested:
      • Lightning (10 mins)
      • Short (30 mins)
      • Long (60 mins)
  • Coding camps (to discuss)
