There was a funny Bug on this a
while back. I reiterate what I said there.
I like SWAG that lights up. Yeah, I'm a geek, but I got into
engineering
pretty much because I could use electronics to make things light
up, and the
joy hasn't worn off yet. Perhaps some multi-color LED stuff
that says Eclipse
on it.
I also think some Eclipse Bling would be funny. Big diamond
rings and
necklaces that spell out Eclipse. (I have no shame either...see
comment about
career choice.)
As far as tshirts go. I don’t want anymore. I wear them
playing hockey and working in the yard. That’s it. The tshirt season in
Boston is maybe 3 months long, and it’s even shorter in Canada. J
Seriously, let’s do something different at EclipseCon.

Jeff,
I take full credit for last year's T-shirt (or, should I say, last year's
T-shirt fiasco :-) ... It was, um, the best of a bad situation. The problem was
that we promised the sponsors that they would have their logos on the T-shirt
and then we ended up with a lot of sponsors. We couldn't retract that promise
which meant that we ended up with a T-shirt that didn't work as a shirt (who
want to wear it?) nor as a painting rag (too many logos meant that it didn't
absorb paint well).
We won't have a bad T-shirt again this year because we carefully did not
promise to include the sponsors' logos on the shirts - their logos will show up
elsewhere, but not on the shirts.
BTW,
I assume this is actually the wrong list for this discussion but the EclipseCon
site does not even say who the conference chair is so...
Really? Oops, let me fix
that... It's me - I'm the idiot who makes these decisions.
