RE: [eclipse.org-eclipsecon-program-committee] 10/14 EclipseCon TeleconAgenda (888-722-7907, 9262945#)

  • Challenge to entire program committee – read through *all* the tutorial submissions and comment by next week
  • Keynotes – will look for alternative contact info for Mitchell next week if we don’t hear via email
  • Press release – need bio info for Greg Stein (AI: Tim to get, Bjorn to post); still scheduled to go out 10/25
  • Tutorials – time to look at breakdown by top-level project and begin soliciting directly (AI: Tim + others)
  • Misc – Reports of EclipseZilla problems (PaulV) – not able to add comments (will refer to Bjorn)
  • Updates on content recruitment
    • Gunnar – no update this week
    • Paul
      • OSGI – still pushing
      • Agile Procesess in general
      • Embedded
    • Simon
      • Trying to garner interest in EclipseCon (email banner)
      • Working with Paul on OSGI submission(s)
    • Lawrence
      • Several WTP submissions, plus another from David Williams that’s coming
      • Also pinged TPTP
    • Sri
      • TPTP: Expect to have as many or more than last year, should be submitted in 1-2 weeks for tutorials, still talking about ideas for long talks (very heads down on code freeze)
  • Embedded (Virtual) Track
    • 7-10 potential talks (no tutorials) identified
    • Will look to drive submissions over the next several weeks
    • Also discussing “RCP Virtual Track” with RCP team
  • Project Sprints and BOFs
    • Program committee doesn’t schedule BOFs, but we can have a role in educating people about Bugzilla and soliciting BOF creation and signup
    • (Sri) PC needs to balance talks with BOF, sprints, and other gatherings
