Denis,
What's happening with Orbit? Last I looked, it didn't have a git repo (at least not under orbit). The Orbit FAQ still talks about CVS.
Thanks,
Greg

Greetings,
It is official: as of noon (Eastern time) today, CVS has been shut down on the Eclipse.org servers. The CVS files are still in place and committers can still access them in a read-only fashion. Once the dust has settled, we will ZIP all the /cvsroot directories up and put them on the Archives server.
The background story and community kudos can be found in Mike Milinkovich's blog post:

With the festive season upon us, on behalf of everyone at the Eclipse Foundation, I'd like to wish you wonderful holidays in the company of friends & family and all the best for 2013. We look forward to seeing you at EclipseCon 2013 in Boston! <-- shameless plug
