Subject: [eclipse.org-architecture-council] Nominate Gorkem Ercan to the Architecture Council

Hi all,

I'd like to nominate Gorkem Ercan to the Architecture Council.

Gorkem has been an active contributor on diverse Eclipse.org projects for a bit less than 15 years. In Eclipse Community, he was involved in Mobile development before Android and iPhone existed and worked on ports of SWT to such mobile platform, he also worked on devtools for Mobile development with latest related project being Eclipse Thym (support for Cordova application development in Eclipse IDE). He also has worked on several projects related to "plain" (aka non JEE web development) Web development such as Eclipse JSDT and WebTools server adapters and even WebTools at large. Recently he's been acting as one of the main stakeholders in Eclipse Che and has been involved in JDT-LS and the VSCode plugin for Java which relies on it.

On the incubation mailing-list, Gorkem has started some interesting threads with very good input and proposals about improving the EDP.

I think that with Gorkem's experience in diverse development tools and his interest in improving the EDP, he would be a perfect fit for the Architecture Council.

What do you think?
