This year's face-to-face meeting was, IMHO, far more useful for me
than past meetings. I was concerned that having the meeting during
the conference might reduce attendance, but I think that it had the
desired opposite effect.
My sense is that using the Google Hangout to make the meeting
accessible to those who were not in attendance worked reasonably
well. We did that with almost no forethought or real planning in
advance. I'm thinking that we can very easily and inexpensively
improve this if we get a better microphone/sound option and a
webcam. The wifi was quite good at the Reston location; we probably
can't count on this being true in other locations (the wifi at
EclipseCon France was particularly bad as I recall).
Getting space at the various EclipseCons is very easy. We need to
keep doing this.
Perhaps, we should try hosting a longer remote meeting using Google
Hangout. At least to try out the concept on a larger scale.

I also want to add a topic for us to discuss how we
can continue having great meetings like the one we had in
Reston. The deeply technical discussions on cross project issues
like the dark theme and installer are why I joined the
Architecture Council and I hope we can keep that going.
