Hi all,

There is a very interesting patch for macos, fixing a bug and probably having some other positive side-effects submitted at https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=534977 .

It seems valuable enough to be worth a review and attempt to have it in RC3. However, the modified code is in the Control class, which makes that if behavior is somehow bogus, it will cascade to a ton of issues... so there is a lot of value, and a part of risk.

Please put on the bug whether you think this is fine for RC3.
