Re: [eclipse-pmc] Release Record, IP Log and Review

Hmm....

This IP Log has 2 copies of JUnit 3.8.2 , as well as JUnit 4.8.2 / 4.10 / 4.11 / 4.12 (besides the new 5.0).
There's also lots of JSch versions listed.

Anyways I'm not sure who actually consumes that log and what for, so a superset is probably better than a too small set, if in doubt.

+1 from my end - and thanks to Lars for filing the target milestone bug against the PMI.

It's Java 9 and JUnit 5.

The correct link to the IP Log is https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/attachment.cgi?id=16881.

The CQ for JUnit 5 is new: https://dev.eclipse.org/ipzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12549

Hi Lars,

I noticed the same and was also surprised. I'm not sure how relevant this is to our consumers, but given that we explicitly said *only* Java9 related fixes were in, I was surprised at seeing such a long list including, for example, 519390.

Regarding the IP Log, I was wondering if any new 3rd party IP was added compared to 4.7.1 ? - I browsed around a bit and couldn't quite find an answer to that question.

Hi,

looks to me that also bugs targeted for 4.7.1 are included. Is that
correct? I would assume only bugs target for 4.7.1a would be included.

Dear PMC Members

As you know, we will provide JUnit 5 and Java 9 support to Oxygen Update 1a
(4.7.1a). I have created the release record. You can also review the IP
Logthat is pending legal approval. The release review has also been
scheduled. Please cast your vote for this release.

Thanks,
