Dear Eclipse PMC,

I'm writing to request your approval to backport a bug fix to Eclipse
Neon (4.6.1)

The fix will improve performances of form-based editors.

To have the fix in the 4.6 stream, we should cherry pick the following
change: https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/79011/
As you can see from the code, the backport risks are very limited.
