The committer lists for the
Eclipse project in the Foundation's database is all wrong. The set of people
the portal thinks can vote rarely matches the set of people who actually have
commit rights. I think at least me/Tod/Paul/Stefan in the list below don't
actually have commit rights in this area. This is a known problem that we have
reported to the foundation in the past:

In the meantime, we generally follow an
honour system of only voting on a component when we actually have commit
rights. Note also Kim and Sonia in the list below have commit rights on all
Eclipse project components for releng purposes, but generally don't take part
in voting in areas they don't work in directly.
On the other hand, it's relatively easy to pick out
truly inactive commiters, at least at the project level, using
dash.eclipse.org. I believe a purge of inactive commiters was done last year
though, before the membership vote on by-law changes (since too many inactive
commiters could have spoiled the vote).

Huh,
8 committers from 12 not voting within a week?
Is
it time to prune some inactive committers, i.e. move them to
"committer
emeritus" status? That should be easy to do in the
portal...
