Hmmm. Not really. It would help me a lot to see some simple architecture diagrams or schemas. I’d like to see some pictures like http://help.eclipse.org/help33/topic/org.eclipse.platform.doc.isv/guide/arch.htm where the relationship of Equinox, RCP, Language IDE,… is traceable. So it would be very easy to see, that a e.g. a RCP also requires Equinox or that the IDE is just a YaU (yet another usecase) of RCP and the user would always know if he reads “Equinox” how to associate this word in a “big picture” schema.

I’m afraid that people are scared by Words like Equinox or RCP (more than ever if they are located in the middle of the start-site) because they are not explained in a direct context and it is nearly impossible to find the appreciated information.
