Dear IDE community,
OC for Tooling at Open Community Experience (formerly EclipseCon) is approaching fast. From 21-23 April, the developer community will gather in Brussels to shape the next generation of open source developer tools.
I’d like to invite open source developers to attend this conference to learn and share experiences around the latest features and improvements in the development platforms and developer tools driven by the Eclipse community, including AI native and cloud native development environments.
Featured sessions include:
The Path to a future-proof implementation of Eclipse SWT: Lessons from Initiative 31 by Heiko Klare (Vector Informatik)
AI in action: The ultimate live demo with Theia AI by Jonas Helming (EclipseSource)
Cross-Platform Collaborative Coding: From Web Apps to AI Agents by Dr. Miro Spönemann (TypeFox)
Mastering Java development with Eclipse IDE: Tips, tricks, and hidden gems by Noopur Gupta (IBM)
In addition to the conference agenda, OCX will also host several hands-on workshops for developers who want to delve deeper into specific topics. For instance, the three-hour workshop “Systematic AI Coding for Real-World Projects” will explore practical approaches to integrating AI into real development workflows. You can explore the full list of workshops here.
