First of all, thank you for everything you've done — and continue to do — for the Eclipse community. It's hard to overstate the impact you've had over the years, and it's great to hear that you’ll remain actively involved in the ecosystem even after your departure from Red Hat.
Beyond the personal news, this is also a good reminder to all of us in the Eclipse RCP/IDE ecosystem: if we want this platform to thrive, we need to ensure that key contributors like you can keep working on it sustainably. Many companies rely on this technology, and it's on us, as a community, to support and invest in its future.

_______________________________________________Hey everyone,First the news - Red Hat and I are splitting paths starting May 1st (after 16+ years!).I am staying in the Eclipse community and plan to continue fulfilling all the roles I have at the moment. I will be doing custom development and consulting in the Eclipse IDE/RCP area so for everything Eclipse.org related there should be no change other than you have to contact me using my gmail account.For anything regarding Red Hat areas of interest you have to contact my manager Eric Williams (who would receive emails sent to my redhat email starting May 1st anyway ).P.S.
