AFAIK some parts of the Eclipse IDE have moved to Java 21 like wildwe development. Platform has not yet moved to Java 21 so if your are not using the bits which require 21 you should be fine

We prefer not to upgrade Java if it is not required, but we would upgrade if required. 

Does anyone know if Java 21 is required?
