[eclipse-dev] Jakarta.servlet switch

Hey PMC and fellow committers,

I need help with how to handle the announcement and follow the deprecation procedures as it's not like we plan to remove the API but rather to switch the package names and preserve the same class/method/extension names.

As we haven't done such things (at least since I'm involved in the project) we lack procedures how to handle it and all existing ones are not exact match for the need of this one.

I've raised https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=572286 to handle this discussion. Please bring all your ideas how to handle it in the least disruptive way (while still considering manpower we have) to the bug.
