Re: [eclipse-dev] Welcome Email

Hi Anjula,

Welcome!

Your question is rather broad, so I am not sure exactly which
direction to point you in. If you are not already familiar with
Eclipse as a user I would start with https://eclipse.org/users/, if
you want to use Eclipse to develop and extend Eclipse, there are a
wealth of tutorials on Vogella's website:
http://www.vogella.com/tutorials/eclipse.html. If you want to
contribute back to Eclipse, start at https://eclipse.org/contribute/

If you are considering contributing back to Eclipse (and I hope you
are!) one of the decisions you may have to make early on is which part
of Eclipse to contribute to. Eclipse is made up of dozens of projects,
some are quite central to the Eclipse IDE (e.g. SWT
https://www.eclipse.org/swt/ and JDT https://www.eclipse.org/jdt/) and
others are not even written in Java and are not part of the IDE.

As you explore and learn more you will find what interests you most
and where you can contribute the best.

Again, Welcome!
Jonah
