[eclipse-dev] Apache http client for p2

Help wanted.

Using p2 to install or update, some of you may have experienced what appears to be a deadlock (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=234916). It has come to our knowledge that this problem and other subtle networking issues do not happen when using Apache Http client. Therefore we are strongly considering adding Apache Http Client to our downloads (https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=220240). However before doing so, we are soliciting your help with some preliminary testing.

So what can you do? Simply add the following site and install the only feature available on it:http://download.eclipse.org/technology/ecf/httpclientrepo
If you encounter any problem or limitation please report them to bug https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=220240.
