- Platform UI is scheduling two days at the beginning of each milestone for adding more tests to the suites, and working on performance issues.
- Instantiations provides eclipse.org committers with free licenses to their products (e.g. WindowTester). Pascal is coordinating license keys within IBM, for the Eclipse SDK committers.
- p2 started using the test framework "EasyMock", they will put it in the general test feature so that other teams can use it too.
- Currently we run tests on 1.4, 1.5 and have some 1.6 tests. Since Sun will EOL their 1.4 VM soon, we decided to change the tests to run on 1.5 and 1.6 vms only. It was noted that we don't get much value out of running the tests on older VMs (no 1.4 VM-specific problems surfaced for a couple of years). We are more likely to find issues by running the tests on newer VMs. Note: This doesn't impact the vms that the bundles are compiled against, this will continue as specified in the execution environment.
