Re: [eclipse-dev] Problem installing VE
|
Start Eclipse and press Ctrl+N.
In the New dialog you should see a selection for a
Visual Class or if you look under Java->AWT or
Java->Swing you will see a number of GUI component choices.
Use the class wizard to complete the configuration of
a GUI component. When you click Finish the Visual editor
will open.

I'm relatively new to eclipse and having some problem
getting VE to work.
The following are what I downloaded from eclipse.org
site on 6/27:
eclipse-SDK-I20040624-win32.zip
emf-sdo-runtime-I200406241017.zip
GEF-runtime-I20040624.zip
VE-runtime-S20040624.zip
I unzipped them to directory c:\java\eclipse on a
win98 pc.
Here is what I've under
About-Eclipse-Platform-Features
org.eclipse.jdt
org.eclipse.jdt.source
org.eclipse.platform
org.eclipse.platform.source
org.eclipse.pde
org.eclipse.pde.source
org.eclipse.sdk
When I try to create a new visual class by right click
on the package and select New, I didn't see the visual
editor.
Thanks for the help in advance.
