[eclipse-dev] Build schedule for Eclipse 3.0 Milestone 3 (3.0 M3)

Eclipse 3.0 Milestone 3 build (3.0 M3)
was planned for Friday, August 29th.
However, we're moving things earlier
one day to the Thursday, August 28th
so that the North Americans can have
an extra long weekend :-)

In brief, the updated schedule is:

Monday, August 25, 08:00 EDT - 3.0 M3
Warm-up build
- this is just a warm-up 
- rebuilds are not planned should this
build fails or is unusable

Tuesday, August 26, 08:00 EDT - 3.0
M3 Test candidate build
- this is the real M3 build
- goal: a good build for the test pass
on Wednesday
- all teams need to sign off on Tuesday
that candidate build is good enough
to use for Wednesday test pass
- we will rebuild as necessary until
a test candidate is available
- for a rebuild, only team(s) requesting
the rebuild need to recheck and
sign off (although they may request
other teams to revalidate potentially
affected functionality)

Wednesday, August 27 (all day) - 3.0
M3 Test pass
- intensive 1-day test pass on M3 candidate
- identify any critical problems and
supply critical fixes by 16:00 EDT

Wednesday, August 27, 16:00 EDT - 3.0
M3 Release candidate
- this is the final M3 build
- goal: a good build to release as 3.0
M3 on Thursday

Thursday, August 28
- all teams need to sign off that the
release candidate is good enough to declare as M3
- we will rebuild as necessary
- for a rebuild, only team(s) requesting
the rebuild need to recheck and
sign off (although they may request
other teams to revalidate potentially
affected functionality)
- declare 3.0 M3 available
