Unfortunately no.  We simply don't currently have enough resources to 
build and support multiple distribution forms.

Hmmm...this is indeed unfortunate.  I do wish we could avoid this 
problem by having multiple/other distribution forms (along with 
supporting installation into other frameworks).  If there are some that 
are willing to contribute releng work to make this happen please 
consider doing so. Markus K is the current ECF releng lead, so he is the 
person to coordinate with.
