The current state of the Eclipse4 Progress view is now on the wiki:
https://wiki.eclipse.org/Eclipse4/ProgressView

It's installable into a target platform from the Hudson update site [1]. The wiki has the instructions for including it in an e4 RCP application.

Please try it out. Bugs can be opened against Platform/UI [2] and set to block our polish bug, 429505 [3].

All feedback is welcome.
