Re: [e4-dev] JavaScript bundles with E4 0.9?
|
Hi Axel or some others,
I post a blog writing today to address your question. Check it at[1].
Hi, Simon,
is there some space to join the e4 _javascript_ effort? I can arrange some free time recently and I am interested in your js tooling support.
There seem not too much bugs related to e4 language. I find one bug like [2]"[_javascript_] Editor support for setting breakpoints". I've seen the debugger codes in the cvs head. However, how about the editor the e4 language used? there are two offical editing support in Eclipse. One in the WTP/ATF, the other in the DLTK/JS(ps: I am reinventing one based on IMP). Which one do you choose? or others?
Best regards,
Jin Mingjian

Hi Axel,
Indeed, what's in 0.9 should allow use to build and run _javascript_ bundles. What's in the 0.9 release is just the "runtime" support and what we're working on improving right now is the tooling for _javascript_ as a general language as well as improving usability for _javascript_ bundle creation. At the moment information is hard to come by other than the wiki page and of course the source itself however I'll schedule some time to work on improving the situation and more specifically creating a good set of examples to use as templates. If you're working on a blog posting feel free to bug me to help you over the rough spots.
