Re: [dtp-dev] Documents folders for DTP projects- SQL Query Parser user doc

Thanks, Rupesh. This document has been posted to the SQL Dev Tools site
under the SQL Query Parser component. I will also include notification of
it when we make the M2 build announcement.

Hi,
Here is the user documentation on the SQL Query Parser. This needs to be
enhanced further, but is good to get started when using the parser.

John:
Can you pls upload this to the website CVS?

I'd like to request that we do what is suggested, but in a slightly
different fashion. We actually already have a CVS storage area for these
documents -- the location used by the DTP web site. We could create a
"documents" folder under each subproject, and allow people to check in
there. This is more consistent with how other projects use these
repositories in Eclipse. There are a couple is issues that make is
difficult in the short term though:

(1) I need to make sure that everyone has the necessary access to the DTP
web site
(2) I need to create the folders where they don't exist already

If everyone agrees, then let's move ahead on this basis. Until I get (1)
and (2) worked out (after the first of the year), please send me any
documents you want to store in the web site CVS, and I will put them there.

Thanks,
John Graham

Could we also add .project files to these so they can be included in an
Eclipse workspace?

I like the idea of storing documents related to the DTP plugins in CVS,
such as are contained in the documents folder in the sqltools project.
However, I think it would be better if the folder were named
"org.eclipse.datatools.sqltools.documents" rather than just "documents". I
would like to check in some documents for the model base project (in
particular diagrams that show the SQL model structure), and if that folder
is just named "documents" as well, it will be confusing if both folders are
checked out from CVS.
