 Hi again,

I
think we need to agree on a common naming for the DSDP icon in our branding
plugins to ensure that our contributions all map to the same icon. Attached is
the proposed icon with its proposed name:
"dsdp32.png".

I'm
picking this up now into my branding plugins, along with provider name
"Eclipse.org - DSDP".

Let's
see what it'll look like in Galileo RC1, we can still change it if we don't like
it (personally, I think it's perfect).

Cheers,

I agree. I like it better to the left so the orbit isn't
  obscured.

  Ship it!!!!

I like dsdp32x32-2 (with the larger phone) very much
indeed! What do others think? Shall we pick it for RC1 ?

the phone on the left intersecting with the orbit in two different phones
    sizes.

      Excellent!

      My
only thought is, can we make the phone/board icon little larger such that
the ring around eclipse intersects the phone where the board starts
      showing up?

        I’m
playing with the modeling PNG file, since I’m not sure we have an AI
file with the modeling about box icon.

        I
messed up the transparency, but do folks generally like this. No DSDP,
just the phone icon in the corner.

        Doug & Brenda,

        attached
is what the About dialog currently looks like in Galileo
        M7.

        I
think it will be better to get rid of the halo / glow, and have the
        Eclipse
        ball
same size as all the others but with the mobile phone / board
        icon
        overlaid.
Perhaps it would work to take the Modeling icon as

          We
squared off the large version and resized to 32x32, but I think the
large orbit is making the globe too small. We’ll fix it this

          Yes,
I was talking about the glow. And yes, my concern
          was
          that
the icon might look too small if the entire glow were
          part
          of
          the reduced size version.

            Martin,
when you say remove the halo, are you talking about the glow around
the planet? (Folks: your image viewer needs to show transparent as
black to see the halo. I’ve put the two side by side so we can see
the difference. Modeling is scaled up, which is why it looks
            pixilated.)

            I
don’t really have a problem with the glow, personally. The width of
the orbit may force the plane to look too small when it’s scale
            down, though.

            If
everyone agrees on #5, Brenda and I can work with that.

            I
            agree with eric:

            Initially
I liked 1 better, but I like it how the orbit intersects with the
            phone in 5.
            It's
surprising how well the icons look even if scaled down to 16x16
            pix.

            It's
high time that we agree on ONE icon for the about dialog, which
            needs to be 32 x 32 pix.
            See
the "ECLIPSE32.PNG" icon attached, which I'm currently using for
            reference, as well as
            modeling32.png
-- I think we should rescale the dsdp icon like modeling, perhaps
            getting rid
            of
            the halo.

            Resulting
icon should be "dsdp32.png" -- I think it's important that we use
            all the same
            icon
name, in order to make sure that our contributions can be collapsed
            on the about
            dialog.

            Deadline
for having all checked in and released is RC1, which is in 2 weeks
            already:
