Re: [dsdp-pmc] adding documentation to DSDP info center

Thanks, for some reason I was thinking those links do not work as well.
but that seems to do the trick.

Hi Gorkem,
Search for "Combo" on the DSDP Infocenter.
Limit Scope to eRCP.
Click on the link you get for eSWT widgets.
It shows the list of classes in swt.widgets.
Find "Combo" and right-click > Copy Link.
Here is what I get:
http://dsdp.eclipse.org/help/latest/topic/org.eclipse.ercp.doc.isv/html/
reference/api/org/eclipse/swt/widgets/Combo.html
Cheers,

That works for topics but I could not find a way to link to doc for a
single file. I am trying to create link to for instance
org.eclipse.swt.widgets.Combo javadoc in the whole eRCP set.

Hi Gorkem,
I'm sending such links around all the time.
What I usually do is just browse the docs, from
http://dsdp.eclipse.org/help/latest
I navigate to the topic I need; when I've found it
in the table of contents, I right-click > Show in New
Tab (in firefox) and copy&paste the resulting URL.
For instance:
http://dsdp.eclipse.org/help/latest/topic/org.eclipse.ercp.doc
.isv/html/
overview.html

Hi Martin,
I think what would be cool especially for eSWT javadocs is
ability to
directly link to a particular javadoc. I noticed that eclipse
platform
docs have that kind of links [1].
Do you happen to know how I can do the same for eRCP/DSDP?

Hello Gorkem,
your docs are deployed:
http://dsdp.eclipse.org/help/latest/index.jsp
Whenever you update your jars in your deployment
area, the automatic infocenter update script will
make them live at 2:00am Eastern (Ottawa) time
daily.

Hi Martin thanks for the help. I have uploaded the doc plug-in.

Hello Gorkem,
your account is created:
ssh gercan@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
should work for you. Once logged in, you will find your
password in file "pass.txt" -- change it to your preference,
then delete the file.
Put the ercp docs into
/home/infocenter/latest/deploy/ercp
Let me know when done, I'll then take care of integrating
them into the infocenter. Also, let me know if there
are any issues.
Cheers,
Martin
