Agreed. This is an important topic that needs to be addressed to
better support end users. I think it also ties in with the discussion
about target-specific Eclipse configurations from the DSDP Bof at
Schaefer, Doug wrote:

Instead, we should be coming up with a common launch configuration framework that supports both CDI and DSF for launch configurations they have in common (i.e. local launches). And base it on the toolchain concept that I would love to have added to the project model (i.e. the toolchain selects the debugger too). Or something like that...
