Steering Committee and the Specification Committee.
Jim has been
instrumental in developing the assets under purview
by EWDG and would be a great addition to those
committees.

The
Eclipse
Dataspace Working Group charter
identifies the four committees as the governing
bodies to drive various aspects of the working group
for which there are elected positions to be filled.
At this time, the responsibilities of the Technical
Advisory and Marketing Committees are managed by the
Steering Committee, therefore this election will
focus on the Steering and Specification Committees.
While
the Strategic Members are entitled to a seat on all
committees, elections will be conducted for the
following positions:

Committer
Member Representative - One
Through
this email, we are announcing the Eclipse Foundation
will hold the election on behalf of the working
group using the proposed timetable listed below:

Participant
Members
While
the charter allows for up to three Participant
Member representatives based on the current
composition, we currently have two members eligible
for these seats. The current Participant Members
are: Libelium, NOI Techpark
Committer
Members
Committer
Members are those who are engaged in projects under
the purview of the working group. Committers may be
considered members by virtue of either a) being
employed by a working group corporate member, or b)
an individual committer who has executed the
Individual Working Group’s Individual Participation
Agreement. If you are interested but unsure if you
are a committer member, please reach out to us
and/or learn more here.

Nominations
can be made by any member of the working group
(including self-nominations) by sending an email to
this mailing list.

Please indicate
which committee the nomination is for. You can
also nominate for both the committees.

Nominees are
strongly encouraged to include a short bio
highlighting their relevant experience.

If you are
nominating someone else, please confirm that they
are willing to stand for election.

Note;
Each Member may have at most one individual stand
for election to any particular committee.
Election
Process
·
After
the nomination period closes, the list of candidates
will be confirmed and announced.
·
Ballots
will then be distributed to all Participant Member
Organizations via email (one ballot per
organization) and to Committer Members of projects
within the purview of the Working Group. The
election will follow the Eclipse Foundation's
"Single Transferable Vote" method, as outlined in
the
Eclipse
Foundation Bylaws.
·
The
winning candidates will be announced on this mailing
list after the voting period closes.
Call to
Action
We
encourage all Participant and Committer Members to
actively participate in this election process by
nominating qualified candidates or standing for
election themselves.
