Re: [dataspace-wg] [EDWG] Join us at the Global Digital Collaboration Conference – July 2 Sessions on Trust, Sovereignty & Compliance

Thanks Javier. For the Steering Committee meeting this week, can you please add an agenda item to discuss the following:

  • Making sure we use terminology consistent with core EDWG specifications, particularly DSP and “dataspaces”
  • Ensuring that we can effectively communicate official EDWG positions regarding credential interoperability and presentation/issuance protocols, specifically the OpenID4VC/DCP positioning adopted by the Steering Committee.

Dear Jim,

This has been indeed discussed in our Settering Committee meetings (please see here).
It is as well recorded in the EDWG event list (available just for Steering Committee members here).
As you can see in the minutes, given that the topic was about wallets and credentials, it made sense for us to involve our members involved in trust frameworks.
I am also forwarding to you (separately), the email that was sent to all Steering Committee members on March 6th after we discussed this in the Steering Committee meeting referenced.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Hi Javier,

Was this brought up in a Steering Committee meeting previously, because I must have missed it?

Dear Eclipse Dataspaces community,

We are excited to invite you to the Global Digital Collaboration Conference (July 1–2, Geneva), where the Eclipse Foundation is hosting a full morning of sessions on July 2nd dedicated to the future of trusted, sovereign digital collaboration—a core concern for Dataspaces.

We are especially pleased to host in our sessions Gaia-X and iShare, two leading initiatives in Europe shaping trust frameworks that directly impact the architecture of dataspaces. We will explore together how trust frameworks, open wallets, and regulatory compliance intersect to support sovereign data exchange at scale.
