Howdy,

In testing the install of ECF 3.15.3 with bndtools 7.1 support, I've encountered an issue [1] that appears to me to be caused by a conflict between the install of the 2024-12 versions of Jgit (required/used by bndtools 7.1) and m2e.  I have not looked yet at m2e, but Jgit currently depends upon/uses Apache httpclient 4.5 for secure/https file download.  (ECF/p2/platform uses Apache 5.0 httpclient and JRE-based httpclient).

As described at [1], this was discovered in bndtools 7.1 because bndtools uses JGit to download from github repos (for workspace templates and other things).

My question to this mailing list:   How should this be reported? Via a new issue in epp project, egit, m2e, or some other repo?

Thanks,

Scott
