We are thrilled to announce the start of the evaluation phase for Develocity, a product by Gradle, now available to the Eclipse Foundation projects. This evaluation phase will run from January 6, 2025 to March 1, 2025. During these 2 months, we are looking for projects to test this service and share their experience.
Develocity is designed to enhance build performance and development efficiency. This evaluation phase is crucial for us to gather valuable feedback and estimate the potential benefits of the service for the broader community.
We will support participating projects throughout the integration process, monitoring progress, and helping in results analysis. Our goal is to ensure that the product is helpful for projects by providing a smooth experience, relevant metrics and to gain valuable insights that will help projects to improve their build process and to fine tune the platform.

Following the evaluation phase, we will assess the value of Develocity for the community based on the feedback from the participating projects, its impact on the foundation's infrastructure, and the effort required to maintain it in operational condition. This will determine if the platform enters into a production phase and be an integral part of the CBI offering.
Note: data from the evaluation phase will not be migrated. In any case, a more detailed data retention policy will be established at the end of the experimental period.
