Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] repo.eclipse.org maintenance on January 19th

Please try again by restarting your job from scratch (ie not just a module, some bad caching could be involved, e.g., see https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=559326#c7).

If you still face an issue, please open a separate ticket so we can investigate without spamming everyone on this list.

Thanks.

Hi

The 'old' ci.eclipse.org seems to have gone down.

While trying to investigate weird failures that started yesterday [1], I now get catastrophic start up [2].

As note on the associated ticket, and unrelated to the repo.eclipse.org maintenance, we've been having a failing proxy node in our reverse proxy pool for the last 2 days. This node has not been automatically removed from the pool for some reasons. As such, 1/3 of the requests directed to the cluster were timing out. It was mostly affecting Jenkins instances on the new infra and help.eclipse.org.

Everything should be back on track. We're now working on preventing such proxy node failure from impacting projects as much as it did this week end.

Thanks for your patience.

Internal DNS are note yet updated, so builds on Jenkins are still seeing 503 while https://repo.eclipse.org is up and running.

Will keep you posted once everything is back to normal.

Note that DNS had to be changed, so depending on the caching level of your setup, you may have to wait until the change is fully propagated.

Hi,

We will do some maintenance of the Nexus instance servicing repo.eclipse.org. The maintenance is scheduled for Jan 19. @ 12 noon CET following our maintenance window for Tier II services (https://wiki.eclipse.org/IT_SLA#Maintenance).

The repositories will set to readonly (no deploy will work) for about 3 hours and the service will be unavailable for about 15 min.

Thanks for your understanding.
