That's too easy.

What if the decision of the many e4-RCP folks would make the
work of the few IDE nerds impossible?
What if the product of the few IDE nerds happens to be the
flagship product of this community?

Being active and outnumbering another group isn't enough to
abandon rules of fair play.
"The one that does the job decides!" cannot be the only rule
in a community of interdependent sub-projects. And I know it
isn't in the Eclipse community!
