Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Where has OCL gone?
|
Hi Eike
"milestones" should never be correct for a maintenance build.
http://wiki.eclipse.org/MDT/OCL/Dev/Releng/P2_Repositories_Organization
lists http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/maintenance
or
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/maintenance/3.1.0
which exist.
was (and still is) wrong in listing 3.2.0 rather than 4.0.0, otherwise I
think it's accurate.]
I've had many similar problems with emf/emft, mwe/mwe2/mwe2lang etc. I
find puttying in and just searching the downloads/modeling tree helpful
in discovering quite what spellings and policies projects are actually
using.

Hi Ed,
Now our maintenance build fails because
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/milestones/3.1.0
can't be found.
I've also tried
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/releases/3.1.1
but am still getting lots of p2 errors:
https://hudson.eclipse.org/hudson/job/emf-cdo-maintenance/259/console
Is that the right link?
Cheers

Hi Eike
Sorry for the inconvenience. OCL was forced to 4.0 at M2 by the major
version change to UML2, even though all the
traditional Ecore plugins are 3.2. Therefore the correct update site is
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/milestones/4.0.0
but the features and plugins you use may be 3.2.
I'm guessing that at M3 you built against a stale repo that we only
cleaned up a week ago in response to the over-quota
message.
[The sooner we stop using version numbers for external consumables
the better. I would love to see a policy of Juno,
JunoSR1, JunoSR2, JunoM4 which would be unambiguous and provide the
critical missing indirection from external reference
and internal detail. The current scheme just guarantees major ripple
pain as the internal details change.]

Hi,
Our build used to consume OCL via
http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/mdt/ocl/updates/milestones/3.2.0 but
now there
is nothing and our build fails.
Did we miss a notice that the repo has moved to somewhere else?
Cheers
