I wonder if there is some quicker way to do a hudson restart. The issue of course is that new jobs aren't enqued but existing jobs need to run their course which leaves us without builds for an hour or two.

and that might be what is happening here. That is, the SVN
auth fail might not have anything to do with the issue. Do a
debug build and check out what is gong on with those tags in
your log. They look all to familiar to me..
One build further it works there again..
