We hadn't mounted CVS (nor SVN or Git) locally since we assumed
everyone used pserver. I've mounted the repos locally, so that portion

Paul, that's the same error as Matthias (above) -- Intel box
using PPC binaries.
This is exactly the testing we need... Once we've figured out the
JAVA_HOME issue I think we'll be in good shape.
