Release-specific IP logs sounds interesting. Why not enhance the project  meta-data so that we can include a link to the IP log with the release?

This area is evolving a bit.

The purpose of the IP log is to inform interested parties (emo-ip-team,
consumers, adopters, users, etc.) of the IP contained in the project. In
my mind, we need to make this accessible to those interested parties.
Since many consumers tend to consume older versions of the software, it
follows that we should be retaining IP logs for those older versions.

Honestly, I'm trying to socialize the concept here. I hope that this
isn't too onerous.

FWIW, the next generation of Automated IP Tools will make this dead easy.
