Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] Bugzilla "Simultaneous Release" vs. "Cross-Project"

thanks John.  Strangely I was sure there was such a bucket but did not find it previously.  I moved the bug mentioned.

It may be worth updating the Simultaneous Release component description to indicate that it is not an area in which people should open bugs.

Under the "Community" product, there is a "Cross-Project" component. That is the inbox that is widely tracked by teams on the release train.

Can you point to a "Cross Project" bug category?  I was looking for some such thing when posting

https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=271527
but could not find one.  There did not appear to be a happy home so I used Simultaneous Release.
Seems very few people are watching that inbox...

I've forgotten, have we ever said what is the difference between these two categories, and which is for what?

I had the impression the "Simultaneous Release" category was (only) for those "release requirement" tracking bugs.

And Cross-Project was still primary place for other, cross-project or simultaneous release bugs and feature requests.

Can anyone confirm, or clarify? Was this was documented or previously discussed?

Thanks,
