Oisin,
I didn't investigate further once STP failed, but the one fact you probably do not know is that I had removed many of the other Ganymede projects prior to running that build. So rather than running with the whole set, it was running with a small subset. Thus either:

(a) Large Hadron Collider issues or
(b) the STP dependencies are not correctly specified so when a number of (mostly modeling) projects were left out of Ganymede, STP didn't copy correctly, or
(c) other random issues
