Re: [cross-project-issues-dev] EPP packages

personaly I see it as a bad thing.  To make this happen however, there will have to be a stable URL to the various packages.  If we have one of those the various related projects would do well to point to it promiently.

[cross-project-issues-dev] EPP packages

Now that the EPP project exists, many projects, such as CDT, have
Eclipse packages that are available, yet they don't appear on their
respective download pages.

For instance, just to pick on CDT, I cannot download the "Eclipse IDE
for C/C++ developers" package from the CDT project website or download page:

    http://www.eclipse.org/cdt/downloads.php

Should we consider this a bad thing, and should I open bugs against
individual projects to request they add (prominent) links to the
available packages?
